Care built around your symptoms

Tell us what's bothering you most. We'll build a plan around it.

Hot flashes & night sweats

The most common reason women come to us, and one of the most treatable.

Your care plan may include:

  • Estradiol patch, gel or spray
  • Non-hormonal prescriptions for hot flashes
  • Tips to protect your sleep

Sleep, mood & brain fog

Hormone shifts can affect sleep, focus and mood long before your periods stop.

Your care plan may include:

  • Hormone therapy, including progesterone
  • Labs to rule out thyroid and other causes
  • Support for anxiety and low mood

Libido & vaginal dryness

Common, treatable and nothing to be embarrassed about.

Your care plan may include:

  • Low-dose vaginal estrogen
  • Testosterone, when appropriate
  • Relief for painful sex and urinary symptoms

Weight & metabolism

Midlife weight gain often isn't about willpower. Hormones and metabolism change.

Your care plan may include:

  • Metabolic and hormone labs
  • A nutrition and strength plan
  • Medical weight loss, when appropriate

Symptoms we treat

Perimenopause can start in your early 40s, years before your last period. If these sound familiar, we can help.

Hot flashes

Sudden waves of heat

Night sweats

Waking up soaked

Poor sleep

Trouble falling or staying asleep

Mood changes

Irritability, anxiety or low mood

Brain fog

Forgetfulness and poor focus

Weight gain

Especially around the middle

Low libido

Less interest in sex

Vaginal dryness

Discomfort or painful sex

Irregular periods

Heavier, lighter or skipped

Joint aches

New stiffness and aches

Your treatment options

We'll explain the pros and cons of each and decide together. If you have a uterus, progesterone is added to estrogen to protect the uterine lining.

FDA-approved bioidentical hormones

Estradiol patches, gels, sprays and pills, plus micronized progesterone. They're identical to the hormones your body makes, FDA-approved and often covered by insurance. Sent to your regular pharmacy.

Compounded bioidentical hormones

Custom doses or forms, like creams or troches, made by a compounding pharmacy to your provider's prescription. Compounded hormones aren't FDA-approved, so we use them when an approved option doesn't fit your needs.

Non-hormonal options

If hormones aren't right for you, because of a history of breast cancer or blood clots for example, we offer non-hormonal prescriptions and other treatments for hot flashes, sleep and mood.

Menopause labs: a clear place to start

A menopause lab panel checks the common causes of fatigue, weight gain and brain fog, and gives us a baseline before treatment. Billed to your insurance when covered, or $125 self-pay.

Thyroid

An underactive or overactive thyroid can look a lot like menopause.

Blood count

Checks for anemia, a common cause of fatigue, especially with heavy periods.

Metabolic panel & A1c

Blood sugar, kidney and liver health.

Cholesterol

Heart disease risk rises after menopause, so we track it early.

Vitamin D

Important for bone strength and mood.

Hormones, when helpful

Hormone levels swing day to day in perimenopause, so we test them only when they'll change your plan.

Dr. Nancy Pachuca

Midlife weight loss that works with your hormones

Falling estrogen changes where your body stores fat and how it uses energy, so the old approach often stops working. Our weight loss program is built for this stage of life.

Hormone-aware plan

Treating hot flashes and poor sleep often makes weight loss easier.

GLP-1 medication

Semaglutide when appropriate, prescribed and monitored by your provider.

Body composition

Track fat and muscle, not just the number on the scale.

Strength & protein

Protect muscle and bone as estrogen declines.

  • Method of Payment
  • Previous records or prescription bottles are helpful for new visits

For new patients please make sure to complete your new patient paperwork online prior to your appointment. If you are unable to do so, please arrive 15 minutes early to allow you time to fill out all required paperwork.

If you are a new patient please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment start time. This will allow you time to complete the paperwork and check in process in a timely manner.

All established patients should arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment start time. This will allow adequate time to complete the check-in and payment process.

We make every effort to run on schedule and respect our patient’s time and this is largely determined by everyone making an effort to arrive early to their appointments.

Any patient who shows up more than 15 minutes past their alloted time is subject to rescheduling the visit.

Please remember that scheduling an appointment involves reservation of your provider’s time specifically for you. If you fail to cancel or change an appointment 24 hours in advance, we cannot provide services for other patients who would like to be seen, often times, same day for urgent matters.

Patients who provide late cancellation or fail to show up for 2 or more appointments at any time during the course of treatment will be discharged from the practice. This is because it is difficult to provide quality care to patients who consistently miss and/or cancel their appointments.
